Book 41 Chapter 16 41:16 Verses 20 Signs ³⁴

41:16:01 And¹ when¹ the¹ sabbath¹ was¹ past¹, Mary¹ Magdalene¹, and² Mary²the² mother¹ of¹ James¹, and³ Salome¹, had¹ bought¹ sweet¹ spices¹, that¹ they¹ might¹ come¹ and⁴ anoint¹ him¹.

2 And⁵ very¹ early¹ in¹ the³ morning¹ the⁴ first¹ day¹ of² the⁵ week¹, they² came¹ unto¹ the⁶ sepulchre¹ at¹ the⁷ rising¹ of³ the⁸ sun¹.

3 And⁶ they³ said¹ among¹ themselves¹, Who¹ shall¹ roll¹ us¹away¹ the⁹ stone¹ from¹ the¹⁰ door¹ of⁴ the¹¹ sepulchre²?

4 And⁷ when² they⁴ looked¹, they⁵ saw¹ that² the¹² stone² was² rolled¹ away²: for¹ it¹ was³ very² great¹.

41:16:05 And⁸ entering¹ into¹ the¹³ sepulchre³, they⁶ saw² a young¹ man¹ sitting¹ on¹ the¹⁴ right¹ side¹, clothed¹ in² a long¹ white¹ garment¹; and⁹ they⁷ were¹ affrighted¹.

6 And¹⁰ he¹ saith¹ unto² them¹, Be¹ not¹ affrighted²: Ye¹ seek¹ Jesus¹ of⁵ Nazareth¹, which¹ was⁴ crucified¹: he² is¹ risen¹; he³ is² not² here¹: behold¹ the¹⁵ place¹ where¹ they⁸ laid¹ him².

7 But¹ go¹ your¹ way¹, tell¹ his¹ disciples¹ and¹¹ Peter¹ that³ he⁴ goeth¹ before¹ you¹ into² Galilee¹: there¹ shall² ye² see¹ him³, as¹ he⁵ said² unto³ you².

8 And¹² they⁹ went¹ out¹ quickly¹, and¹³ fled¹ from² the¹⁶ sepulchre⁴; for² they¹⁰ trembled¹ and¹⁴ were² amazed¹: neither¹ said³they¹¹ any¹ thing¹ to¹ any² man²; for³ they¹² were³ afraid¹.

9 Now¹ when³ Jesus² was⁵ risen² early² the¹⁷ first² day² of⁶ the¹⁸ week², he⁶ appeared¹ first³ to² Mary³ Magdalene², out² of⁷ whom¹ he⁷ had² cast¹ seven¹ devils¹.

41:16:10 And¹⁵ she¹ went² and¹⁶ told¹ them² that⁴ had³ been¹ with¹ him⁴, as² they¹³ mourned¹ and¹⁷ wept¹.

11 And¹⁸ they¹⁴, when⁴ they¹⁵ had⁴ heard¹ that⁵ he⁸ was⁶ alive¹, and¹⁹ had⁵ been² seen¹of⁸ her¹, believed¹ not³.

12 After¹ that⁶ he⁹appeared² in³ another¹ form¹ unto⁴ two¹ of⁹ them³, as³ they¹⁶ walked¹, and²⁰ went³ into³ the¹⁹ country¹.

13 And²¹ they¹⁷ went⁴ and²² told² it² unto⁵ the²⁰ reisidue¹: neither² believed² they¹⁸ them⁴.

14 Afterward¹ he¹⁰ appeared³ unto⁶ the²¹ eleven¹ as⁴ they¹⁹ sat¹ at² meat¹, and²³ upbraided¹ them⁵ with² their¹ unbelief¹ and²⁴ hardness¹ of¹⁰ heart¹, because¹ they²⁰ believed³ not⁴them⁶ which² had⁶ seen² him⁵after² he¹¹ was⁷risen³.

41:16:15 And²⁵he¹² said⁴unto⁷ them⁷, Go² ye³ into⁴ all¹ the²² world¹, and²⁶ preach¹ the²³ gospel¹ to³ every¹ creature¹.

16 He¹³ that⁷ believeth¹ and²⁷ is³ baptized¹ shall³ be² saved¹; but² he¹⁴ that⁸ believeth² not⁵ shall⁴ be³ damned¹.

17 And²⁸ these¹ signs¹ shall⁵ follow¹ them⁸ that⁹ believe¹; In⁴ my¹ name¹ shall⁶ they²¹ cast² out³ devils²; they²² shall⁷ speak¹ with³ new¹ tongues¹;

18 They²³ shall⁸ take¹ up¹ serpents¹; and²⁹ if¹ they²⁴ drink¹ any³ deadly¹ thing², it³ shall⁹ not⁶ hurt¹ them⁹; they²⁵ shall¹⁰ lay¹ hands¹ on² the²⁴ sick¹, and³⁰ they²⁶ shall¹¹ recover¹.

19 So¹ then¹ after³ the²⁵ Lord¹ had⁷ spoken¹ unto⁸ them¹⁰, he¹⁵was⁸ received¹ up² into⁵heaven¹, and³¹ sat² on³ the²⁶ right² hand¹ of¹¹ God¹.

41:16:20 And³² they²⁷ went⁵ forth¹, and³³ preached¹ every² where², the²⁷ Lord² working¹ with⁴ them¹¹, and³⁴ confirming¹ the²⁸ word¹ with⁵ signs² following¹. Amen¹.
